What is Baptism?
Baptism is the door to eternal life and the Kingdom of God which Christ offered to all through his death and resurrection. It incorporates us into Christ and His Church, pardons our sins as well as all punishment for sin, rescues us from the power of darkness and bestows on us the dignity of being children of God. Christ entrusted this sacrament to the Church when he told his apostles to “Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
