Our Parish, in collaboration with the Diocese, offers End of Life information and resources following Catholic teaching. End of Life issues, discussions, and decisions are delicate, sensitive, difficult, and challenging. Navigating through important information needed to help individuals and families make decisions during this time of life is challenging in ordinary circumstances. In today's geopolitical environment, it is even harder due to the myriad of medical "treatments" offered and the medical and legal decisions you or your loved ones may face, which may not be consistent with or follow the Catholic Faith and Teaching.
These pages are to help you be and keep; informed of current updates to Church Teaching, current changes in the geopolitical environment, and resources available to you to help you or your loved ones make the best choices and decisions possible following your faith and Catholic Teaching.
In consultation with Catholic bioethics and law experts, the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh has created an Advance Directive Document (available in English and Spanish below). We offer you this document, designed for the state of North Carolina, to assist you in ensuring that your care and treatment is consistent with the Catholic faith and your wishes.
