Liturgy is the public official service of the Church, which comes from the Greek leitourgia. So, the Liturgy is the public official services, ceremonies, rites, sacraments, and prayers of the Universal Church.
The most common use of the term liturgy today is when referring to the chief official service only of the Sacrifice of the Holy Eucharist (in the Latin Rite, this is what we call the Mass).
Liturgy is the public official services of the Church, not each person's private devotions, spiritual life, or private prayer life.
